I have always been the purple carrot in my family and the Italian and Greek community… an oddity, a disruptor. I have been labelled as weird, different, even crazy. Why? Because I refuse to accept the world as it has been handed to me.
From childhood, I questioned values, perceptions, and the ever-famous, “That’s how we do things” and “That’s what we believe.” I challenged traditions not for the sake of rebellion, but because I could not ignore the deeper question:
- Does this serve growth?
- Does this serve the soul?
I have fought against silence when we should roar. Against unkindness, against injustice, against the scarcity and fear-based thinking that keeps us small. And yet, I do not claim to be an expert in how things should be done… far from it. But I do understand the power of stepping outside the box, of questioning the beliefs we inherit without blindly accepting them.
Because here’s the truth: If our traditions truly served us, would the world not be a kinder place? Would we not be better humans?
I have seen people dismissed – too young, too old, too female, too opinionated, too much. Too loud, too tender, too disruptive. Cast aside for not fitting the socially prescribed mould, for refusing to perform the roles demanded of them. Enough.
Tradition has merit, but when it becomes unquestioned obedience, it loses its purpose. We repeat rituals, perpetuate subjective thinking, recite perfunctory statements without ever pausing to ask: Where does this come from? Does this serve me? More importantly, does it serve humanity?
And this brings me to Soulify – a word that, to me, represents everything. To Soulify is to transform… to return to who we truly are in spirit, in soul, in authenticity. It is a conscious act, a choice.
That’s the heart of it: Choice.
We are told we have the freedom to choose, yet so often, our choices are shaped by silent rules – expectations never spoken yet deeply understood. I’ll love you if you… I’ll be proud of you if you… Sound familiar?
But what if we stepped outside of that framework? What if we allowed people to fully, and freely, discover their true selves without judgment or restraint?
What if we simplified the rules?
- Live in awareness. I am.
- Live in allowance. You are.
- Live in presence. I show up.
What if we made the conscious, authentic choice to behave from soul, with love, and in grace… first for ourselves, then in service to others?
If we stripped away the layers of conditioned thinking and returned to what is real. Soul, presence, connection. We could build a world not bound by fear but enriched by authenticity. A world that is kinder, fuller, and deeply human. The choice is ours, daily, moment by moment… to Soulify, to live in service of self so that we may truly serve others. And in that choice, we create something lasting, something true. A world that breathes with grace, abundance, and heart.
